Palmiero:
Shortly after the Fall Equinox, on September 24th, 1964, Rafael
Palmeiro was born. Rafael’s a Libra, whose theme is balance
and fair play. Rarely loners, they favor companionship and occupations
that bring them in contact with others.
Born in the Year of the Dragon—the most auspicious sign
of the Chinese zodiac—Rafael is bestowed with vigor to achieve
goals and uphold personal honor. With three planets in Virgo,
he’s a perfectionist whether at first base or as designated
hitter. With Mars in dramatic Leo, Rafael strives to excel. He
ranks in the top 100 in Major League history in ten different

years—the second longest streak behind Barry Bonds. With

Rafael is one of only four players who have put up at least 35
home runs and 100 RBIs in seven straight years. Appearing in 160
games in 2001, he’s a 3-time Gold Glove winner.
Palmeiro’s an outstanding hitter with a pure swing. Improving
with age, he appears to be hitting his stride with 176 homers
during the past four seasons. Nimble on first, he’s also
quite adept at scooping balls in the dirt. Clearly, with A-Rod,
I-Rod, and R-Pal, the Rangers infield embodies three of the best!
Offensively, this future Hall-of-Famer has seven consecutive
seasons of 38 or more homers, tying Babe Ruth for the longest
streak in Major League history. Combined with trusty A-Rod, this
gives the Rangers two mighty players with back-to-back homerun
threats for the first time ever.
