Chan Ho Park:
Chan Ho Park was born on June 30, 1973 in Kongju, South Korea.
A Cancer, he has powerful emotional attachments to his past,
maintaining strong connections with roots and heritage. Devoted
and sentimental souls, Cancers need to be needed. Food, family
and feelings rule their world. Moonchildren can be moody, experiencing
many ups and downs.
With Mars (the planet of energy) in dynamic Aries, no more
Mr. Nice Guy! Abounding in strength, he embodies a warrior's
spirit--intimidating, aggressive and combative. A likeable bully,
he relishes a good fight. While Cancer's moods often flash across
the face like a scoreboard, Chan can hide the intensity of his
feelings, personal motives and desires, veiling his forcefulness.
The Rangers landed Park last year, the top free agent starter
on the market. With his innings eater reputation of pitching
deep into games, Chan pitched into the 7th inning in 25 of 35
starts, winning 15 games, while posting 218 strikeouts.
The first Korean born player ever selected to an All Star
game, Chan proudly made his first appearance at last year's classic.
Blessed with a mighty fastball, a big curve that freezes batters,
an adroit pick off move, he also delivers the ball quickly with
men on base.
Inclined to brood when things go wrong, that's his competitive
nature merged with the sensitivity that causes Cancers to cling.
One of the most consistent performers over the past five seasons,
this year heralds his Saturn return-- a momentous astrological
rite of passage.
